To Whom It May Concern,

Professor Kelly Kim is one of the most amazing people I have ever had the privilege of knowing. Some of the characteristics that define her are that she is very caring, supportive, joyous, humorous, serious, amazingly dedicated, and one of the hardest working people I have ever known. I was very fortunate my first semester at Fullerton College reason being Dr. Kim was my Spanish professor. In fact, I was so impressed with her as a teacher that I decided to take Spanish 102 the following semester. Dr. Kim insisted that I take the Honors course, and saying no to her was completely out of the question. She believed in me more than I believed in myself at that point and that meant everything to me. It showed me that she truly cared about me beyond just a student and professor relationship but as a person as well. She has had a significant impact on my education and my personal life in enabling me to believe in my capabilities as a student and in myself as a human being.

Professor Kim is an excellent teacher in so many different aspects of the learning process. She takes education extremely serious and anyone who has ever taken her course would definitely agree. What makes Dr. Kim such an outstanding professor is her passion for teaching. She is unbelievably the most organized, dedicated, responsible, ambitious, diverse, and direct person that I know. The curriculum of the course in my opinion was very well proportioned between her lectures, the amount of personal and group class work, homework, skills center hours, quizzes, and of course exams. Dr. Kim’s style of teaching is extremely challenging but at the same time very effective and efficient. She makes the learning process undoubtedly enjoyable in so many ways. One of the most interesting ways that she connects with her students is that she plays trivia games in Spanish like jeopardy to make learning more fun as it should be. She never needed to demand the respect of her students because she earned our respect by making us feel like we are part of her family; she literally calls her students her babies. Professor Kim interacts with each one of her students on a personal level and gives encouraging advice about our futures in furthering our education. Dr. Kim is truly one of a kind, and personally my overall favorite teacher.
